Directors

Andrea Rademeyer:
Andrea Rademeyer is the CEO and founder of Ask Afrika. In her spare time she can be found playing the flute, reading a biography, or cooking something exotic for friends and family. The founder and managing director of the company, Rademeyer is also registered with the South African Marketing Research Association, and the Health Professions Council of South Africa as a Research Psychologist. She was awarded Business Woman of the Year, as well as the prestigious Tuks Alumni Laureate Award in 2003.

Grant Robertson:
Grant Robertson is a director and partner in Ask Afrika and TGI SA. He has a MA (Research Psychology) degree from the University of Port Elizabeth and has been in the research industry since 1997. His primary interests are in research methodology, statistical modelling and technologies that enhance the research process.

Maria Petousis:
Maria Petousis did her BCom Honours Econometrics, at the University of Pretoria and has been working in the Market Research Industry for the past seven years. She has experience in numerous industries, including financial, telecommunications, petrochemical, automotive and media, amongst others.

 

Chantelle le Roux:
Chantelle le Roux graduated from the University of Pretoria with a BA Honours in Psychology in 1999. Her research career started in 2003 and she has gained extensive experience in the design and management of quantitative and qualitative research projects.

Retired Founders

Barbara Cooke:
Barbara Cooke was the general manager research and marketing at National Magazines, the magazine division of the Nasionale Pers Publishing Group, now Media24, for more than 13 years. She joined the company from Lindsay-Smithers FCB where she was the account director. Prior to this, she was the director of research and planning at J Walter Thompson, which she joined after two years with one of its major clients, Stellenbosch Farmers Wineries. Cooke has founder member status of the Southern African Market Research Association, who made her an honorary member in 1993. In 1994 she received the Protea Award from the SA Association of Marketers, and was named the ‘marketing person of the year’. In September 1999 she started Marketing & Media Research Brokers with her husband Tim Cooke. She served on the council of the Technikon Witwatersrand, until its amalgamation with RAU to form the new University of Johannesburg. She co-founded TBSC in 2003 which held the original license for TGI in South Africa. She was instrumental in launching TGI in South Africa and establishing it as the standard for single source brand and media surveys.
